I shared in my post on Monday on <href=”http://www.birdingisfun.com/2012/12/macro-birding.html “> Birding is Fun some close up photos of birds at my feeders. I wanted to share some more of the shots of the Redpolls, which until last week, I had never seen. These birds seem very unshy, and depending on the angle, can look like a goldfinch or a Pine Siskin or a House Finch, until that short black bib and red cap become obvious. I believe all included here are the Common Redpoll, I know I saw some Hoary Redpolls as well but there were some birds that seemed to fit in between and tougher to classify.
I am linking up with Paying Ready Attention’s Blog for WildBird Wednesday – please follow the link below to see other great blogs and photos. Hopefully I am not incurring bad karma by posting Redpolls twice in a row for Wildbird Wednesday but these shots are so much better than last weeks.

I am so envious! I would love to see a Redpoll at my feeders. Lucky You! Great pic’s!
Truly Lovely birds! I wish I could see one here!!
Wonderful shots. The number of finches and similar birds your get around feeders in the US is remarkable.
