Getting Down with Birds

From 3.12

For Macro Monday I thought I would post a sort-of macro of a song bird that insisted on staying on the ground and only using it’s legs. Not sure if not hurt or just not stressed by me, a regular in these here parts. Either way, I was able to slither on my belly to within 5 feet and have his head fill the view zoomed in. Only a little muddy, and a few thorn sticks, and the bins which I had forgotten are luckily waterproof and wiped off easily. The ground was still damp from yesterday’s rain. Funny what I don’t notice when I am focused on birds.

Beautiful shot of the Song Sparrow. They are pretty birds and one of the more common sparrows I see around here. I love to hear them singing. Great photo, Happy Birding!

Great image. With a dog it’s hard to ever get close to wildlife!
